New York's Davidson to Retire
After what he called a "long and rewarding" career in professional baseball, <Mark Davidson:player#9018> has announced he will retire.

The <New York Empire:team#78> closer said it wasn't an easy decision to make, but this season will be his last and he's now "content" with his choice to walk away at age 36.

<Davidson:player#9018> has converted 587 saves in his career. Over 933 games he has compiled a 1.92 ERA, 69 wins, 54 losses and 1690 strikeouts in 1117.2 innings pitched.
