Fighter Pilots Win Wildcard Series
The Wildcard Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.

But the <Caseyville Fighter Pilots:team#43> are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the <Carlsbad Bad Apples:team#42> 3-1 to advance to the League Championship Series.

"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Fighter Pilots first baseman <Marco de la Rosa:player#5617>. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."

Caseyville won the final game by a score of 8-5 at Caseyville Stadium.

de la Rosa was named series MVP after hitting .533 with a .611 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The <Caseyville Fighter Pilots:team#43> will play against the <Austin Rattlesnakes:team#47> in the next round. Austin had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
