No-Hit Masterpiece by Quintana
Fans at Farmers Market Stadium got a rare gift today as <Jonathan Quintana:player#10997> of the Blue Pirates tossed a no-hitter against the <New Jersey Athletics:team#80>.

Although Quintana did not appear to have his best stuff in the early innings, he turned masterful as the game went on, ultimately striking out 6 and walking 3 in a 2-0 Ontario victory.

"We had our chances in the first few innings when he was hittable, and we couldn't capitalize on them," New Jersey manager   said later. "In the last four or five innings, he totally shut us down."

In all, <Quintana:player#10997> faced only 31 batters. While getting into his groove, he was helped by several defensive gems.

"I don't remember a better-pitched game," Blue Pirates manager Shaun Young said. "And how about our defense today?"

So far this year <Quintana:player#10997> has compiled a 12-9 record with a 2.56 ERA.
