Hit Streak Over, Ducks Stop Hechavarria
<Hilton Head:team#109> second baseman <Ed Hechavarria:player#7657> came into today's game against the <Toledo Ducks:team#51> on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

"What <Ed:player#7657> did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Islanders manager . "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 34 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

This year <Hechavarria:player#7657> has batted at a .328 pace with 165 hits, 13 home runs, 68 RBIs and scored 92 times.
