It's Official: Wheeler Will Retire
It's a somber day for <Eagles:team#24> fans as <Tony Wheeler:player#11142> announced that he will retire at the end of the 2068 season. The <Wilmington:team#24> first baseman attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills.

"I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them."

Checking out his career figures, <Wheeler:player#11142> has played in 1188 games with a .245 batting average. Among his 943 hits are 135 home runs. He has also scored 519 runs, stolen 225 bases, and driven in 467 runs.
