Explorers Mulholland Decides to Retire
<Raleigh Explorers:team#17> reliever <Nate Mulholland:player#1893> will retire at the end of the season, according to reports out of team headquarters. Mulholland, 38, has been considering retirement since last season sources say, though he has declined to speak publicly about retirement.

"Nate still likes baseball," one source said, "He wants to play, but he also knows he's getting up in age and the skills are not what he wants them to be. He says it's physically getting harder to go out there every day. That's why he's hanging up his spikes."

For his career, <Mulholland:player#1893> has held opponents to a .241 batting average and put up a 3.29 ERA. He has saved 151 games and owns a 48-69 record.
