Manspeaker Goes Cycling
<Art Manspeaker:player#8004> of the <Havre de Grace Ducks:team#41> touched all the bases today at Duck Pond in the 10-2 victory over <Hilton Head:team#109>, hitting for the cycle.

He teed off on Islanders pitching, collecting 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. The feat is rare in baseball as it requires a game of no fewer than four hits and the unusual combination of a home run, which requires a batter to hit for some power -- and a triple, which requires a batter to have both speed and a favorable fall of the ball.

"The hardest part was the triple," Manspeaker confessed after the game. "A lot has to go right. It's real easy to get greedy trying to stretch a double and get thrown out. It's really hard to get a three-bagger."

He finished the big day with 5 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBI, 3 runs scored -- and a place in the record books.

<Art Manspeaker:player#8004> singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off <Jose Gutierrez:player#11008> in the 7th.

Thus far this season in 30 games Manspeaker is batting .279 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 111 at-bats.
