Spicher's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends
<Fresno:team#103> left fielder <Chris Spicher:player#5244> went 0-for-4 today in <Fresno:team#103>'s 10-6 triumph over the <Raleigh Explorers:team#17>, snapping his 20-game hitting streak.

Spicher spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later."

"I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though."

When Spicher made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending.

"There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Explorers manager said of Spicher's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

So far this year in 37 games Spicher is hitting .364 with no home runs, 16 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
