Goldman Hitless, Streak Ends at 20
Late in the game, all eyes in Crawfords Field were on <Kevin Goldman:player#10138> as he stepped into the batter box. His 20-game hitting streak was on the line, and he had a zero in the hit column on the day. Sadly for Goldman, it was not meant to be -- the zero would stay and the streak would end.

If there was a silver lining for Goldman today, it was that his <Atlanta Peaches:team#107> won the game anyway, stopping the <Pittsburgh Crawfords:team#23> by the score of 9-4.

"Winning took some of the disappointment out of it," <Goldman:player#10138> told reporters in the clubhouse. "Looking back on it, it was a great experience. Not too many players can say they had a hit in 20 straight games. It's something I will always remember."

This year <Goldman:player#10138> is batting .340 with 6 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 18.
