Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the National Conference College Wildcard Series. It turned out quite a bit different.

The <Laval College Rockies:team#126> swept aside the <Arlington College Hurricanes:team#125> to advance to the College League Championship Series, winning the final game by a 5-3 score at Rockies Ballpark.

The series MVP was first baseman <Oscar Rudge:player#11058>, who hit .364 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The <Laval College Rockies:team#126> don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the <Oklahoma City College Wardogs:team#124> - <Wilkes-Barre Township College Villians:team#122> series. Oklahoma City College leads the series 2 games to 1.
