Williams Takes Place Among Greats
What a career and what a ballplayer.
<Jimmy Williams:player#7813> truly was one of the best to play the game, and today he was enshrined into the American Federation Baseball League Hall of Fame with 0.0% of writer's ballot votes.

"It is an honor to be mentioned with the greatest players of all time. I want to thank my family, friends and teammates for supporting me throughout this long career," the outstanding shortstop said at the induction ceremony.

In his career, <Williams:player#7813> played in 2835 games with a .291 lifetime batting average. Among his 3143 hits were 450 doubles, 68 triples and 454 home runs. He also scored 1590 runs and drove in 1716 runs.

<Jimmy Williams:player#7813> retired from baseball at the age of 44 in 2055.
