New York Takes Wildcard Series in Deciding Game
American Federation Baseball League pundits who figured the Wildcard Series between the <New York Twin Towers:team#78> and <Maryland Bridegrooms:team#76> would go the distance were right on the mark.

The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with New York coming out on top thanks to a 8-6 win in the deciding game at Twin Stadium, to wrap things up 4-3.

"You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Twin Towers first baseman <Steve Miller Jr.:player#3761>, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Miller Jr. had 10 hits for a .345 average. He had 3 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
