Franco's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends
For once, it was the <New Mexico Danger:team#1> picking up the slack for <Rubén Franco:player#10891>.

The club's "offensive catalyst," as New Mexico manager Jeff Hoffman has frequently called him, went uncharacteristically silent today and saw his 20-game hitting streak snapped by the <Minnesota Mallards:team#5>. Franco was bailed out by the rest of the Danger, however, who stopped the Mallards, 8-5.

The 29-year-old first baseman finished the day 0-for-4, and told reporters at the postgame press conference that "everybody did their job but me."

"Not that it was a huge problem -- we still won the game," he said with a grin. "The streak was a good run though. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

In 145 games this season <Franco:player#10891> is batting .302 with 187 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 107 runs and driven in 49.
