Blue Pirates Lose to Twin Towers, 2-0
The <New York Twin Towers:team#78> beat the <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77>, 2-0. New York pitcher and San Marcos, California, native <Dan Sampson:player#2752> led the way. Sampson picked up the win for New York, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 11-7. The win gives New York a season record of 55-35.

New York used the timely hitting of <Steve Miller Jr.:player#3761> to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring  single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Twin Towers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Runs were at a premium," said New York manager <Richard Hager:manager#62>.
