Salinas Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 21
<José Salinas:player#5547>'s 21-game hitting streak was snapped today at The Snake Pit. The 27-year-old <Arizona Vipers:team#6> second baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the <California Bulldogs:team#93>, but <Arizona:team#6> came out the winner, 6-3.

"I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to José," Vipers manager Alex Cumana said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames."

Salinas is batting .304 this year with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 230 at-bats.
