Sluggers Martin to Miss Year
<Louisville:team#18> starting pitcher <Nate Martin:player#8735> could miss the remainder of the season because of shoulder inflammation. He exited yesterday's <Glendale:team#16> game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Martin would be out 5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

To date this season, <Martin:player#8735> has registered 18 starts, 2-5 won-lost mark, 4.37 ERA, 92.2 IP, 76 strikeouts and 42 walks. Opposing teams have hit .260 against him.
