Ernesto Venegas Bashes Three over the Wall 
<Redington Beach Panic:team#63> first baseman <Ernesto Venegas:player#4831> sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.

Prior to the start of today's contest with the <Sanford Swamp Things:team#58>, Venegas told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.

"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."

The big day from Venegas pushed the Panic past the Swamp Things, 16-1. To go along with the homers, he collected 9 RBIs and scored 4 runs.

"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Venegas told reporters after the game.

On the season, <Venegas:player#4831> is batting .350 with 18 home runs and 77 RBIs. He has played in 60 games.
