Tiernan Wins Award for NC Dominance
At the age of 19, <Jonathan Tiernan:player#5278> says he still has a lot to learn about life in College League.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the <Arlington College Hurricanes:team#125> reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2058 National Conference Reliever of the Year Award.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the  Toledo, Ohio native said.

For the season, Tiernan had 3 saves in 18 relief appearances, which totaled 43.1. He fanned 81 betters, while walking 16 and put up a record of 6-0 to go with his 0.62 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. <Matt Eggert:player#12595> of the <Ft. Wayne College Steamrollers:team#121> finished second in voting, while <Mario Montelongo:player#12476> of the <Madison College Sundevils:team#129> finished third.
