High School LCS Goes the Distance, Phoenix HS Prevails
High School League fans were certainly not disappointed with this Pioneer League High School LCS.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the <Phoenix HS Fire Ants:team#160> prevailing over the <Anaheim HS Loons:team#134> to advance to the High School Cup.

Phoenix HS won the final game by a score of 5-2 at Ballpark of Phoenix HS and that sealed the series 4-3.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said first baseman <Mario Sanchez:player#7078>, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, Sanchez hit .433 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The <Phoenix HS Fire Ants:team#160> will play against the <Houston HS Hornets:team#155> in the next round. Houston HS won their series against the <Boston HS Mulleteers:team#162> 4 games to 2. The High School Cup schedule will be announced after the High School LCS finishes.
