League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Georgia Prevails
The League Championship Series went the distance before it all was said and done.

The <Georgia Titans:team#94> and the <New York Twin Towers:team#78> went at it tooth-and-nail and when it was over at Peachtree Stadium, the winner was the Titans.

They put away New York 6-1 to cinch the series and won the right to move onto the Federation Cup Series.

For his fine play, even in a losing effort, New York shortstop <Don Bowman:player#9072> was given the series Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .520, scored 2 runs and batted in 2 to win the honor.

"It's nice that someone noticed my numbers, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a win," he said.

The Federation Cup Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
