Hits Galore: Barron Drills 6 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 6-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for <Tim Barron:player#8042>, it came around today. 

The 29-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Michigan Grounds to pace the <South Carolina Jackrabbits:team#181> to a 7-6 victory over the <Michigan Cockatoos:team#183>. 

<Michigan:team#183> skipper   told reporters in the press room that "Barron deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Barron hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." 

<Tim Barron:player#8042> singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 14th and singled in the 16th.

Barron is hitting .277 for the season with 1 home run, 28 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 96 hits in 347 at-bats and played in 87 games.
