Fernandez Sizzles -- Smokes Eagles for 5 Hits
The <San Antonio Turtles:team#9> stopped the <Wilmington Eagles:team#24> by a score of 8-4 at Turtles Field today, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop <Jorge Fernandez:player#888>. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Fernandez said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Fernandez did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Eagles.

"Not much that I can say," offered Wilmington manager  . "He just hammered the heck out of us."
