Hits Blitz for Owls Cunningham
<Dane Cunningham:player#8086> did everything he could for the <Trenton Owls:team#34> today -- literally.

The 23-year-old right fielder hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Owls, going for the cycle and helping them get past the <Fort Collins North Stars:team#31>, 10-2, at Trenton Ballpark.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Cunningham reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, Cunningham banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 3 runs batted in and 4 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

<Dane Cunningham:player#8086> hit a three-run home run off <Esteban Huerta:player#6004> in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This season <Cunningham:player#8086> is batting .324 with 117 hits, 16 home runs, 62 RBIs, 49 walks, .412 OBP and has scored 60 runs. He has played in 94 games.
