Warhawks Mow Down Bears, 10-4
<Colorado:team#2> right fielder <Ken Cooper:player#4202> had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Cooper was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, even as <Illinois:team#74> beat the Bears, 10-4. <Rubén Valdéz:player#11540> earned the win for Illinois. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 3-6. Illinois, at 37-49, holds down last place in the Frontier League East.

<Bob Hill:player#3838>, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2037 draft, helped out the Illinois cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a triple. He scored 2 runs.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Hill said (again).
