Spurs Win at Illinois, 10-5
<Texas Spurs:team#73> starter <Justin Spitz:player#12564> was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 10-5. Spitz, now 3-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. With the win, Texas raised its record to 41-38.

Texas used the bat of <José Mendoza:player#4807> to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run  home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Spurs ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Spitz.
