New Mexico Downs Illinois, 4-3
The <New Mexico Danger:team#1> did just enough to secure a victory over the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 4-3, at Todd Berry Memorial Field. Nobody did more than pitcher <António Mata:player#5315>. Mata, now 10-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. <Joe Bachleitner:player#11714> converted his 2nd save in 3 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for New Mexico, had it not been for <Kakelaka Keawe:player#10283>, the 24-year old center fielder . Keawe contributed a run-scoring  single in the top of the seventh inning to put New Mexico up, 4-2.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Keawe.

The win elevated the Danger to 34-29.
