Nevada's Saldana Will Miss Season
The doctors have spoken and <Alejandro Saldana:player#12565> of the <Nevada Piranhas:team#178> didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Saldana sustained his season-ending injury during the <Massachusetts Possums:team#186> game yesterday at Possums Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the <Nevada:team#178> medical staff reported <Saldana:player#12565> had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months.

Checking out his stats for the year, <Saldana:player#12565> has racked up 2 wins and 2 losses in 6 starts, 4.34 ERA and struck out 18 batters in 37.1 innings.
