Athletics Solve Blue Pirates, 6-4
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the <New Jersey Athletics:team#80> and <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77>.

The inspired effort of <Ontario:team#77> right fielder <Marc Maldonado:player#4629> was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the <New Jersey Athletics:team#80>. Maldonado was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. New Jersey starter <Luis Gonzáles:player#6438> was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-6.

<Luis Antonio Pérez:player#5163>, who finished 5th in the PL in extra base hits with 70 in 2052, aided the New Jersey cause with a run-scoring  single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3.

"Winning never gets dull," said Pérez.

The 4th-place Athletics raised their record to 23-32.
