Sea Lions Prevail, as High School LCS Goes to the Wire
High School League fans were certainly not disappointed with this Pioneer League High School LCS.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the <San Francisco HS Sea Lions:team#171> prevailing over the <Lackland AFB HS Bombers:team#140> to advance to the High School Cup.

San Francisco HS won the final game by a score of 5-4 at Offenders Ballpark and that sealed the series 4-3.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said catcher <Mike Ruiz:player#6390>, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, Ruiz hit .452 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 9 runs.

The <San Francisco HS Sea Lions:team#171> will play against the <Long Beach HS Terriers:team#170> in the next round. Long Beach HS won their series against the <Nashville HS Predators:team#169> 4 games to 2. The High School Cup schedule will be announced after the High School LCS finishes.
