Warhawks Sneak By Resonance, 3-2

His record improves to 2-1. <Josh Hayes:player#2622> took the loss. <Jesus Barillas:player#12256> closed the door for Illinois, picking up his 5th save of the year.

Illinois relied on the hitting of <Chris Payne:player#9983> to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring  single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Warhawks on top, 3-2. For the game, <Payne:player#9983> had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Illinois is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 11th win in 30 games.
