Howard Sets Record with Win
There's a new name at the top of the league's all-time wins leaderboard -- <Duane Howard:player#7859> of the <Kansas Monarchs:team#180>, who established a new record for career victories at Ballpark of Wyoming today, breaking the old record held by the great <Alex Jones:player#10431>. The new mark is 64 victories.

Speaking to a packed house of reporters after the win, Howard said he was "grateful" for the win, but did not expect to hold it forever.

"As I'm sure Alex could tell you, nothing lasts forever," he said. "One day someone will come along and break my record, but I will savor it while I can. My thanks to all of my teammates over the years that made this great day possible."

This season Howard has crafted a 3-0 mark with a 1.57 ERA in 34.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .198 against him and he has 34 strikeouts.
