Injury Sidelines Rob Dixon for Season
The doctors have spoken and <Rob Dixon:player#4168> of the <Pittsburgh Crawfords:team#23> didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Dixon sustained his season-ending injury during the <Rochester Spartans:team#15> game yesterday at Spartans Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the <Pittsburgh:team#23> medical staff reported <Dixon:player#4168> had a torn anterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.

So far this season, <Dixon:player#4168> has recorded a .391 batting average with 18 hits, no home runs, 6 RBIs, 6 runs scored and a .462 OBP.
