Railroaders Win, 8-5, at Illinois
<Pennsylvania:team#4> and <Illinois:team#74> duked it out and the Railroaders came out victorious.

<Illinois:team#74> designated hitter <Chris Payne:player#9983> was sensational. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. <Pennsylvania:team#4> beat the Warhawks, 8-5. Earning his 1st save for Pennsylvania was <Mike Gómez:player#4656>.

Pennsylvania used the bat of <Dewitt Joyner:player#8682> to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Railroaders ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Joyner after the game.

The Railroaders have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 5th win in 18 games.
