Ward Belts 3 HR Against Springfield
<Duluth Knights:team#26> second baseman <Devin Ward:player#2900> put on a dazzling display of power today at Duluth Park against the <Springfield Lincolns:team#32>. In the 8-4 Knights victory <Ward:player#2900> penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," <Springfield:team#32> manager   said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. 

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Ward said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
