Spurs Prevail, 6-5, Over Illinois
Todd Berry Memorial Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the <Texas Spurs:team#73> and <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>.

The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the Spurs. <Terry Tillson:player#4089> notched his 27th save in 33 chances.

The result might have been different, had it not been for <Eric Malvern:player#9348>, the Texas shortstop. Malvern had a run-scoring  single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Spurs ahead, 2-1. For the game, <Malvern:player#9348> had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Malvern said.

The Spurs sit in third place in the Frontier League East with a record of 61-77.
