New Mexico Gets 4-2 Win
The <New Mexico Danger:team#1> picked up a win at Todd Berry Memorial Field, knocking off the <Illinois Warhawks:team#74>, 4-2. Starting pitcher <António Mata:player#5315> was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Mata surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The victory gives New Mexico a record of 80-33.

New Mexico used the bat of <Teodoro Romero:player#5717> to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Danger ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said New Mexico skipper <Jeff Hoffman:manager#36>.
