Year Ends for Dan Howard in Toronto
The doctors have spoken and <Dan Howard:player#3052> of the <Toronto Blue Jays:team#22> didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Howard sustained his season-ending injury during the <Brooklyn Dodgers:team#19> game yesterday at Brooklyn Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the <Toronto:team#22> medical staff reported <Howard:player#3052> had a sore shoulder and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

This year <Howard:player#3052> has delivered 26 saves. In 42 relief appearances, he has 25 strikeouts in 43.2 innings with a 4.12 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 3-3.
