López Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
<António López:player#10459> did everything he could for the <Colorado Bears:team#2> today -- literally.

The 28-year-old left fielder hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Bears, going for the cycle and helping them get past the <Kentucky Lions:team#7>, 11-10, at Mountain View Ballpark.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," López reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, López banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

<António López:player#10459> singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off <John Dupuis:player#2815> in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

For the season <López:player#10459> is currently batting .297 with 4 home runs and 42 RBIs. In 96 games he has reached base at a .333 rate and scored 57 runs to date.
