Bulldogs Prevail, 4-2, Over Ontario
<Kei-thing Xiang:player#9128> pitched well, but the <Ontario Blue Pirates:team#77> still lost the game, falling 4-2 to the <California Bulldogs:team#93> at Bulldog Stadium. <Jorge Mendoza:player#10467>, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 12-4. The triumph puts California at 59-39 for the season.

Had <Jorge Saucedo:player#10019> not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Saucedo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Bulldogs.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Saucedo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
