Bulldogs José González Chalks Up 300th Save
When <José González:player#2447> got to the ballpark today, he just knew it was going to be a special day.

The 32-year-old reliever was sitting just one save short of 300 for his career and anxious to reach that much-coveted milestone. 

"I just had a feeling that today was the day," <González:player#2447> told reporters after the game, a 6-4 <California Bulldogs:team#93> win over the <Oregon Explorers:team#75>. "I was a bit nervous before the game, but there wasn't much time for nerves once I started to warm up." 

The newest member of the 300 club pitched 1 innings, allowed no runs and no hits in his milestone effort. 

<González:player#2447> has logged 300 saves since he broke into the league. He has thrown 676.1 innings, dishing out 641 strikeouts and walking 206 with a 40-51 mark and a 3.78 ERA.
