Warhawks Rally For Late Win Over Bears
<Illinois:team#74> left fielder <Chris Payne:player#9983> contributed to his team's 4-3 win over the <Colorado Bears:team#2>. Payne, who finished 2nd in the FL in hits with 210 in 2049, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Warhawks. <Rubén Valdéz:player#11540>, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The win puts Illinois at 29-45.

<Juan Bermúdez:player#5815> was the walk-off hero for Illinois. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Warhawks pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo  home run to send the teams home.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Payne told the Illinois Herald.
