Kondo Calls it a Day in California

"I did pretty well for myself, my bank account isn't hurting, maybe I'll become a manager or a team owner or something so I can make even more," he said, announcing this season would be his last. "I'm 36 years old, so I've still got some time to make something of the rest of my life."

In his career Kondo has fashioned a 112-88 mark, 4.51 ERA and thrown 1639.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .269 lifetime against him and he has logged 1458 career strikeouts.
