Texas Halts Hyde's Hitting Steak
Late in the game, all eyes in Albertson's Field were on <Jerry Hyde:player#6230> as he stepped into the batter box. His 22-game hitting streak was on the line, and he had a zero in the hit column on the day. Sadly for Hyde, it was not meant to be -- the zero would stay and the streak would end.

If there was a silver lining for Hyde today, it was that his <Idaho Steelheads:team#92> won the game anyway, stopping the <Texas Spurs:team#73> by the score of 8-1.

"Winning took some of the disappointment out of it," <Hyde:player#6230> told reporters in the clubhouse. "Looking back on it, it was a great experience. Not too many players can say they had a hit in 22 straight games. It's something I will always remember."

Presently <Hyde:player#6230> is batting .298 with 2 home runs and 14 RBIs. He has played in 44 games and scored 19 times.
