Resonance End Hayashi's Streak
It was the best of both worlds for the <Washington Resonance:team#91> today at The Boom Box, as they defeated the <California Bulldogs:team#93> 4-3 and also snapped <Soichiro Hayashi:player#9940>'s 20-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old California third baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Hayashi, we just wanted to win the game," said Resonance skipper <Larry Gomberg:manager#71>. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Hayashi frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

During the current season <Hayashi:player#9940> is batting at a .370 clip with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. He has played in 25 games and scored 12 times.
