Warhawks Need Extra Innings to Top Vipers, 5-4
The <Illinois Warhawks:team#74> topped the <Arizona Vipers:team#6> by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was left fielder <Chris Payne:player#9983>. Payne was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times for the Warhawks. The win belongs to <Arturo García:player#10506> in relief. His record improves to 1-0. <Ken McNeil:player#1606> took the loss for Arizona. <Rubén Valdéz:player#11540> got credit for the save for Illinois. It was his 1st of the year.

Payne had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch curveball from <Ken McNeil:player#1606>, he banged a solo  home run to right, giving the Warhawks a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Payne.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Arizona manager <Alex Cumana:manager#70>.

The loss puts Arizona at 2-3.
