Silva Joins HOF Immortals
<Raúl Silva:player#7173>'s dream finally came true today, as the talented and gifted catcher was inducted into the American Federation Baseball League Hall of Fame.

"I really don't know what to say," he said to the large crowd attending his ceremony. "It's such an incredible honor. I always dreamed that this day would come, but now that it's finally here ... Someone pinch me, so I know I'm not dreaming!"

Over the course of his 2147-game career, <Silva:player#7173> was a .277 hitter with 2118 hits, including 469 home runs. He drove in 1348 runs and scored 1408 times as well. <Silva:player#7173> retired at the age of 36.  He will join the Hall of Fame wearing a Idaho Steelheads cap.
