Kentucky Star Captures PL Bat Crown
One of the more prestigious postseason awards is presented to the league batting champion.

The Patriot League recipient this year is <Kentucky:team#7>'s 24-year-old second baseman <José Salinas:player#5547>, who hit .338 over 123 games.

Included in this accomplishment were 160 hits in 474 at-bats, 4 home runs, 41 RBI and 50 runs scored. <Salinas:player#5547> spoke humbly to reporters about the award.

"It's such a difficult thing to do," he explained, "There are a lot of great hitters in this league and to outhit them all is very special."
