5-for-10 Day for Cook
Today at Johnson & Johnson Field, <Josh Cook:player#9966> put on an impressive display. 

The <Maryland Bridegrooms:team#76> catcher tagged <New Jersey:team#80> pitching for 5 hits in 10 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the <New Jersey Athletics:team#80> by the score of 9-8.

"The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Cook said. "5-for-10 ain't bad in any league."

Despite the terrific performance, the Bridegrooms manager was unwilling to offer the catcher much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses.

"Josh told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager   said.

<Josh Cook:player#9966> flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off <Luis Gonzáles:player#6438> in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 12th, flied out in the 14th, grounded out in the 17th, singled in the 20th and struck out in the 22nd. 

This year <Cook:player#9966> has batted at a .248 pace with 37 hits, 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 17 times.
