Wildcard Series Goes the Distance, Vancouver Prevails
The <Vancouver Canadians:team#35> are heading to the League Championship Series, having narrowly defeated the <Savannah Storm:team#108>.

Vancouver edged Savannah in the series 3-2, with a win at Vancouver Field in the clinching game by a 6-1 margin.

<Juan Ventura:player#9698> turned in a strong offensive performance for the Canadians and got series MVP for his efforts.

"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Union Cup win."

It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Ventura continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.

For the series, he hit .333 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The <Vancouver Canadians:team#35> will play against the <Montgomery Kings:team#33> in the next round. Montgomery had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
