Season-Ending Injury for Francisco Mederos
Doctors in <Orlando:team#57> said <Francisco Mederos:player#12688> might not play anymore this year. The Oceanics starting pitcher suffered a stretched elbow ligament during a game against the <Miami Beach Expos:team#106> and will be out for at least 9-10 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

So far this year <Mederos:player#12688> has made 16 starts, tossed 87 innings, struck out 76 batters and walked 62. His record is 7-5 with a 4.45 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .234 batting average.
